TWINSAVER HONOURS REAL WOMEN WITH REAL STORIES AHEAD OF WOMEN’S MONTH.
Twinsaver, a popular household brand and voted South Africa’s favourite toilet paper brand*, has launched their #CelebrateWomen campaign with the objective of celebrating strong, courageous and inspirational women.
The new Twinsaver special edition Twin Ply toilet paper packaging has been specially designed to highlight breast cancer awareness during women’s month. The special edition Floral Fresh pack has a lightly scented pink core, designed to gently release a fresh fragrance. The brand is South African and represents the confidence shown by 18 inspiring women
One of those women is Sherine Kock, a cancer survivor who has shared her story with us and we wish to share it with you for a possible write up or Q&A.
“It is true, you never know how strong you are until being strong is the only option,” she said.
She is a mother to three beautiful girls, a grandmother and motivational speaker who was first diagnosed with breast cancer when her youngest daughter was three years old (15 years ago) and went through treatment. Five years later, she was diagnosed with cancer on her femur, which was treated but came back again on her other femur, spine and skull.
“After my mastectomy, I felt like I was incomplete and everyone could see it”. Through the support of her husband, family and friends, she regained her confidence and founded a support group, which she says is her way of giving back to society. Sherine believes every woman has a hero in herself and through her fight with cancer she got introduced her to her internal hero.
“My struggle is now a tale I tell to educate and inspire every woman to love themselves and celebrate life because it is precious.”
At the top of her bucket list is bungee jumping because for her, age is just a number and life needs to be celebrated. “The celebration of being a woman begins with me, and I do it every day with the choices I take and the things I do. I treasure my body and take time to take to look after myself, mind body and soul,” she concluded.
